The many community projects that we support are made possible through fundraising events such as our Annual Trivia Night. In addition, for the past 85+ years, we have operated our Thrift House resale store located at 920 Chicago Avenue in Evanston.

THRIFT HOUSE: Part of our organization since 1940, the JLE-NS Thrift House is our League’s oldest ongoing project and fundraiser. Located at 920 Chicago Avenue in Evanston, Thrift House helps support our League and our community projects while serving a diverse community. Thrift House also offers Voucher Programs to our partner nonprofit organizations including Open Communities, Family Promise Chicago North Shore, Connections for the Homeless, and WINGS. The vouchers enable clients of these organizations to shop at our Thrift House store at no charge. League members and the public are encouraged to support Thrift House by donating gently used or new clothing, books, electronics, and household items.

TRIVIA NIGHT: We host an Annual Trivia Night event to raise funds to give back to the community.

Our 2026 Trivia Night Fundraiser took place on Saturday, March 21st at the Wilmette Harbor Club.

The 2025-2026 New Member class presented Children’s Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County with $5,000 raised from this year’s event.
